Animal Care bvba - Vets small and large domestic animals

If you do not wish to have several nests of kittens every year you should have your cat spayed.

This is the safest method to avoid having kittens, and the cheapest in the long run. The cat pill is very unsafe. Imagine your cat vomiting after taking that pill, or that you forget giving it and before you know you have four to eight kittens on your hands.

Moreover, we notice that many cats develop tumours or womb infections if they get the pill administered over an excessively long period of time. In that case mommy cat still needs to be operated on, and most of the time complications arise.

Therefore it is best to have your cats spayed from 6 months of age on.
This is a small procedure which can be performed in all safety with our gas anaesthetics.

The same goes for tomcats, which we can neuter from 6 months on. This will avoid nasty smells and spraying behaviour. Be certain that tomcats that have not been neutered fight very often with wild cats and get all types of small wounds this way, as well as abscesses and diseases which additionally increase your vet bill.
